They keep bouncing the forecast for the Satsuma/ Palatka area from 18-24 inches....i went up last night to the camp, raised the boats about 4 ft higher, battening stuff down and pulling another boat, till after midnight..Theres already a LOT of water in the river so theres gonna be a lot of flooding in the area I think..hopefully I got them high enough..
I hope everyone around here stays safe!!!

Alls well here in Debary. lots of rain, strong winds and some flooding.
The river is over our community docks ( near Highbanks) and up into some peoples yards always.
Hey Steve, glad y’all came through OK. I lost internet after the storm but kept power and no house damage. We were spared. Neighbors lost some trees but no house damage for them either. I know we hand 60 to 70 mph gusts. Neighbor behind me has to have the fence redone. A friend of my wife live in coral gables, just about ground zero. No power and they don’t know when. Gas stations may or may not have gas, all have lines from folks feeding generators. They took winds well over 100. She said the storm shutters saved them a lot ov damage. One got blown off on the upwind side and leaked some but I think they did rather well, all things considered. I hope everyone is ok and doing fine, holler if I can help.
Thanks bud, we’re good. Never lost power.
The river is still rising here. The finger docks piling off the main dock are under water now.
Highbanks ramp has closure barriers up.
A word to the wise, anyone running the river be VERY careful. In addition to all the huge mats of hyacinths, we’ve seen floating trees. I’m sure there are submerged trees, limbs and logs that you cannot see.
We made out ! The winds were wild. We had several tree branches come down and part of my fence blew out. Never lost power for more than a few minutes at a time. We were lucky ! Lots of rain. It rained for two days straight.
Most of the tree branches are now picked up. The fence is repaired and things are looking good. A power line to a neighbors house came down, it is now repaired. our area missed out on the flooding, but other areas did not.
We have had friends and neighbors over to charge phones , take baths, and get some food. We were luckier than some others.
If anyone needs something, give a shout and we will see what we can do. Stay safe. The water is still rising.
Looks like the water at Dunns Creek is finally falling....down about 3 ft over the last couple days since the Hurricane. I can finally see my docks, although covered in duckweed
Hopefully everyone else in the area made out good as well

Looked at a sign in the river from the bridge over the river on 17-92. It had a 6” gap yesterday between the bottom of the sign and the water. Went over the bridge today, 24 hrs later and the gap is gone and the bottom of the sign is in the water. Volusia county park closed and Seminole county on the other side of the river is too. The last set of walkways on the end of the launch ramps are at least 45* angle and the last set of posts are barely visible. Can someone please pull the plug and let this go down some?
Praying for all those that are suffering due to the storm in Jesus name ✝️
We fared OK here in Winter Springs. Lots of wind, 50 to 70 mile an hour gust, lots of rain, some flooding and streets impassable with road washouts and blown down trees across roads. Limbs from a tree in my back yard blew down crushed our fence, but other than that no other damage we were blessed. Lost power early Friday morning, but have a generator. My TV and Internet is still out, but everything else is back up and cleaned up. All I can say is thank you Lord that everyone is safe.
