That's a new one on me. Meaning hotdog pieces for bluegill and crappie. We've cat fished with them but never tried it for panfish. Apparently it works.
Nice mess
Awesomeness! Thanks for sharing
Nice Catch! Heading there in a week and a half!
I learn something new every day. I've used hotdogs for bait but not for bluegills'
:ThumbsUp
Great post! Thanks for sharing.
Fished from about noon to 6ish today. Caught a bunch of small crappie and 5 keepers. All on minnows about 12' in 16 fow. It was very hot.
How do you keep hot dog chunks on the hook?
Do you cook them first?
My grandfather used to cut them 1/4 X 1/4 by 1/2 thick then freeze them night before. Day of just kept them on ice and they stayed on pretty well. That was a very, very long time ago. He always caught some kind of fish.

Finished our trip on GRL Friday. It wasn't a "great" catching trip but we caught quite a few found a few more spots to check next time we go. Almost all were on minnows.
We cut through the gap across from Emerald Isle Marina several times and one time through I saw what I swear to you was a small "monkey" heading up the bank from the water's edge. It was on all fours and had a monkey like long tail and if it was a squirrel it was the biggest, fattest squirrel I've ever seen. Anyone know any legends of the "Monkey of Green River Lake"? LOL
