I have 9 spinning rod/reels, they all have different line on them, I was planning on buying one large bulk spool, and use it for everything. I fish for crappie, bream and trout, what does everyone prefer?
thanks!

If I had a large number of reels that I wanted all the same, and I was looking for bulk line, I would go with Vicious line. I have used it a lot in the past and have never been unhappy with it. I mentioned in another thread a few days ago that I was slowly becoming a Varivas fan boy, but I don't think they do bulk spools.
I am a fan of the vicious pan fish as well it’s been really good mono for me definitely my go to.

If you ever try Varivas Twitch Master VLS you won’t want any other nylon mono line.

Another vote for Varivas Twitch Master VLS.
My :twocents .... Vicious Panfish Copolymer fishing line @ about $8.00 for 2360yd bulk spool. (S/H costs depend on where you purchase)
I've been using sufix siege the last couple of years.
Tried many brands over the years , Old blue or green Stren is hard to beat for the price . I use 8 lb for Crappie and 14lb for Green Carp (Bass)
I do mostly trolling and mainly used Bass Pro Crappie Maxx Camo Fishing Line but recently picked up Bass Pro Crappie Maxx Hi-Vis Camo Fishing Line and love how visible it is. I run 6 lines out my boat and the hi-vis camo makes easy work of seeing the lines to not tangle them. I run 8 lbs. The Hi-Vis camo is High-vis orange, high-vis yellow, then clear in that order about every 3 feet (1 foot per color). Crappie don't seem to care about my line. If they start then Ill just tie it on the clear part of the lines. can get 8lb test at 1690 yards for $9. The only brand that I would possibly change to is the slime line super stretch. I might try it if I start tight lining with that 30% stretch.
Buy Trilene XL bulk off Ebay. To ea His own, I wouldn’t spool up BassPro house brand line if you gave it to me. Jus sayn
6# Hi Vis Mr. Crappie. and never look back.

Looks like another Ford vs Dodge vs Chevy question to me. :dono for me - mono = vicious for braided = Power Pro. but that's just me, others may have a different opinion
Suffix siege 6#
Right now Gamma Panfish hi viz in 2lb, but I think I will be changing to one of the Varvias in a mono to be determined when I run my Gamma stock out. I have heard so many good comments on the Varvias.

vicious is pretty good stuff in the 6 # and 8 # but as stated its like ford and chevy and THEN price comes into play and etc.
best cheap line in bulk is Zebco omniflex ,best really expensive line , no clue :Rofl
i have been using reaction tackle line the last couple years great prices and awesome line google them.
4lb. or 6lb. blue stren for trolling
confused yet
Stren clear blue original . 4 or 6 lb. Won 14 bass masters classics , it can handle my fishing for sure .
I have enjoyed using slime line…. I mostly troll though so not a lot of reeling

I bought Vicious line the day before this thread started. Tried it last night. I love it. 6 lb. is difficult to tie and see, even yellow, but it performed great.
I know you ask about mono, but if you start looking at braid, you might want to avoid this one.

164 yards for $100.00 . I don't see bulk spools though, but they offer financing at 4 easy payments of $25.00 plus shipping.

Someone stated that they wouldn’t use BPS house brand line if it was given to them. My thought is it’s his loss. I e been using a BPS house brand call Offshore Angler Tight Lines in 4, 6, and 8 pound test for the fifteen years I’ve been on the website and have gotten great results from it. Inexpensive and I’ve landed fish much bigger than the lines stated strength. All of it is hi vis and knots hold well.
For two pound I’ve come to like Stren hi vis Crappie line. Also has done a great job for me. Then there’s two pound braid and varivas and Sufix but I won’t go into those today.
Does anyone use “fluorocarbon coated “ line?
I bought Panfish Vicious.
Gamma panfish is another good option. Love their 2lb test.
I been using Mr. Crappie for a while now and have no problems with it. Hi Vis and clear.

When I'm using mono it's VARIVAS Twitch Master or VARIVAS super trout advance sight edition (very hi-vis). They are a sponsor here and have frequent sales.
Stren original clear blue for mono(4-8 lb .) but Berkley Vanish is my go to fluorocarbon 8 lb. test for crappie .
[QUOTE=flymoron;4291178]Does anyone use “fluorocarbon coated “ line? I would go 100% fluorocarbon Berkley Vanish . To me it cast better . :dono
I've tried some coated line and think it's still on one reel. I don't think I'm a fan. Think I'd rather just have mono or 100% fluorocarbon. :twocents
If you’re going to be casting light jigs and want to use FC line I highly suggest you get some Varivas Blue Moon FC line. It is a fantastic FC line…..excellent manageability…great knot strength.
