Had been keeping an eye on the weather leading up to my trip yesterday and almost threw in the towel due to a 60% chance of thunderstorms in the area I would be in. No other good opportunity for me this week so I decided to buy myself a poncho and hope for the best. Woke up to partly cloudy conditions with the occasional lightning flash here and there but my desire to feel the thump kept me on the road. Arrived to the lake finally got on the water and rained for a total of 15 minutes of course water conditions weren’t great but I did manage to find a few under some docks and a couple pontoons. All together probably pulled in between 20-25 with the majority being under the 8inch mark so only ended up with 6 to bring home with one of them being my PB for this particular area it measured at 12.5 in and was caught on a 1/48 oz jig head on a electric chicken itty bitty swim r. I’m guessing due to the cloudy water conditions the bite wasn’t as good as it could have been but it was a blessed time out on the water for sure. Question for all that read this post what is your go to color for cloudy water? Thanks and be blessed.Attachment 429405
