Glad to hear that it is helping
Comes from all those years netting Blueball fish :dono
I have it as well. The knots in end joints will hardly let them bend at all. My Dr. cousin got me on hemp oil. I aways thought if was snake oil but it has done wonders for my pain.
Interesting. I have OA in both thumb joints. My wife takes prednisone for PMR. I might borrow some.
I'll have to tell my wife about that. She has major problems with her hands due to arthritis.
I know Arthur It Is also. Both hands, Back, Foot joints. I have been drinking sweet pickle juice which helps some. I might have to ask my doctor for 5mg prednisone. Thanks for the "Hands" up.

By all means have your doctor prescribe Prednisone (or any other steroid class of medications), rather than just take it because it worked for someone else. Everyone tolerates/reacts to medications differently, and the side effects can sometimes be worse than the condition being treated.
No, I'm not a doctor, nor did I play one on TV, and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn. I was a Registered Pharmacy Technician for ~45yrs, & worked closely with Pharmacists, Doctors/Nurses, and other healthcare personnel. One of my jobs was to spot possible interactions between meds that patients were already taking & new ones being prescribed. Luckily, I had a computer system which red flagged such possible interactions, which were quickly noted to the Pharmacist on duty & then that info was relayed to the prescribing physician.
By all means take to your dr about any prescribed meds. I am waiting on a pot shop to open local.. Just as well be happy about being miserable.

It's more likely to happen in Tenn, than up here in KY .... but, if it ever does happen here, I'll be a customer. Not so much to take the edge off being "miserable", but since the pot of today is so much stronger than what we had in the 70's ... I'll be using it to put myself to sleep earlier than normal, so I can get up earlier and get to the lake earlier. Having worked night shift for nearly 40yrs, my sleep schedule still leans towards being awake in the wee hours of the morning and sleeping during the early part of the day. That's not so bad when/if I were fishing at night ... but my fishing buds are early morning risers and struggle to stay up till the wee hours.
Back in the 70s, my shirts has small burn holes from toke explosions.
Starting to have trouble with my fingers . My mother had knots on her fingers and starting to see it in mine . Some hard to open back if I make a fist . Never been to doctor about it . Just turning 64 soon but this getting old not really golden years as some say .
There’s only one thing golden bout these years.
Glad you found some relief!
If you decide to switch to something else.
Be careful about how you quit the prednisone.
Can cause a psychotic break, in some people.

I have taken or tried most everything mentioned, have to find a balance, if i get the pain and stiffness to go away I can tie on jigs easy. BUT the pain in my hands helps me feel the light bites so try to find a happy medium.
Tom - It may be good for arthritis but it plays heck with my blood sugar, which is not good for my diabetes.
Hey Nimrod. I'm 14 years older than you and there ain't nutin golden about it. :yikes I feel sorry for Tom, he's older than me.
