Try turning the sonar to the unit displaying Mega live off. It will still use Mega live without sonar. If you have any other units either turn them off or place in standby when not using. if you have a 360 you could try either turning that off as well or mess with your noise rejection settings.

The only other unit is a map only unit no transducer. Will try to turn the sonar off while using ML. Don't know how to do that but will figure out tomorrow
Kinda resembles the "ghost tree" on Livescope. :dono
Was it there before the updates ??
Yes it was there before any updates. It wouldn't be so bad , but it right n that 10 - 15 ft range to fish from boat. Hope turning sonar off will help.
Here is a read from bbc forum on interferance even tho they are discussing 360. Might try it if you haven’t. Mega live with 360 interference.
I sometimes get alittle flash from Mega Live as I get shallower than 8 feet coming from mega 360..but..just lost one side of the SI transducer in my mega 360 and going to UPS it back to HB this morning so won’t have my 360 running for a week. I haven’t figured hour to get rid of the flash yet in shallow water and if I turn off the Mega 360,,no issues for me. I think sometimes we need to adjust the noise rejection settings depending on water depth as well as hardness of bottom,,but will test to see.
No luck, tried turning off sonar, didn't help. Can turn sensitivity down to -10 it will go away. That's the only way I can get it to go away. Then I can't see anything else.
Here is a couple more postings from bbc forum to read.
Mega Live echo returns?
How common is the mega live flash?
A buddy told me he turned his console unit completely off & it cured his flash problems. He tried standby but didn't work so turned it off & has worked good since he says. By the looks you'd think it was trying to have 360 & live on both at the same time.
Trouble is,,interferance can come from anywhere. It might be in wiring, trolling motor, a transducer wired to motor, mega 360, wires too close to trolling motor power wires, on board chargers. You just have to search each imaginary possibility out sometimes and can be a real pain in the arse. I have no flashes when running mega 360 and Mega Live until I am in 8’ or less depth of water on a hard bottom. And I can live with it as it’s not extremely bad then.
Thanks for all the help. Will try moving some qireing around next time out. I have it on a separate pole and stand alone battery. But it is close to TM power wire.
Ok guys , I feel like I'm beating a dead horse with these questions. I have done everything to get this interference out of this unit. I have adjusted every way I can. I moved unit in the boat, unhooked trolling motor. I even put unit on old pontoon in my pond with no wiring or outboard, no trolling motor either. Same results. Is it time to contact HB?
Apoligize ahead of time but better yet contact Garmin. Far superior. YMMV Scott
