here is one for ya , these here snakes have one of them big old wive's tales that follow them around .
make a squirrel going up a tree look like a turtle for sure , fast a lightning no doubt about it , not dangerous ,but to be sure it is hard to get a view of them sometimes , the speed they leave the scene of the crime is amazing ....
seem to have really great eyesight as well ..... diurnal hunters is likely why ...day time snakes to say the least , never seen one after dark ...
western coachwhip is my guess , might be another one of that genus though , hard to say without handling it some and looking closer at it .:dono
