I have some of those but not all. Take anyone thing away and you will surely need it when it is gone. I do keep a small tool set and will be adding a first aid kit.

Try guiding out of a 23 foot boat. I’ve been all winter ( while recovering from shoulder replacement plus cataract surgery) reorganizing my rod boxes and such so I can find room for 6 life vests plus 6 inflatables. I don’t use rod boxes except for storage and I found crap I’ve been looking for 2 years for. I always stock my boat with many things I think I’ll need for clients and then can’t locate so I buy more of the same crap.

Funny story; After my hip replacement last June, I had a buddy pull my Excel Storm Cat 230 to the factory at Union City,Tn for an electrical check and to lower my engine and Jack plate. A few days later it came to me that my personal firearm was in my glovebox when the electrical supervisor called and mentioned my glovebox. I thought OH CRAP there goes my Pro Staff deal. I asked him where the contents of the glovebox were and he said they were locked up in the plant manager ‘s office. He told me they got amused by the amount of crap in the glovebox until they found a holstered 9mm.

I keep bare minimum in boat. I can't stand to have alot a crap all over the boat while I am fishing.

I am the same way and actually will not invite some to fish because they want to bring so much stuff . Those that fish from 20-22 ft boats are way over stocked to fish in a 16 ft. boat .

Can you believe that all of the stuff on my list fit fine in a 10' V bottom? My lure box is small with 5 partitioned boxes that slide out; actively used soft plastics are in CD boxes; all else is in a plastic box storage container. Here are condensed examples:

Unless I lose a lot of lures, the above could last for 4 - 5 outings.

Bug spray and sunscreen are a must have.

I don't have a boat but I do have a wagon that my wife and I use for bank fishing. It has become full of stuff we don't use.
The haul down is not too bad but the haul up has become a challenge, we have to take breaks.
We have far more in that wagon than we will ever us. We want everything we could possibly need with us although most we will never use.
For my wife and I , I want to make fishing simple again. Toting all this stuff is taking the fun out of my fishing.
I'm too old for all this.

When you think about it I remember watching Andy and Opie walking to the fishing hole with a rod and a bucket. Hmmm maybe an idea.

I don't have a bass boat having sold it a few years ago. I prefer a car top (truck bed) aluminum boat I can load myself that I can launch on smaller waters that don't allow gas motors. There's only one private lake I use my 2.5hp gas.
Storage in my little boat is this plastic box which fits on a boat seat:

I store my boat outside so I have take most items in the house after a day of fishing. When I am done for the day I put both graphs, tackle bag and life vest in a igloo cooler that also doubles as a live well. This way all I have to do is throw the cooler in boat when I am ready for the next trip. I drives me crazy when I see on guy with 6 rods on the deck. I see it as a easy way to break some rods. To each is own I guess.

I carry an assortment of fuses and keep a small set of jumper cables in the boat. Saved the day one time when I had left the key on and ran down the cranking battery and found out after getting to the lake.

I went on an adventure into downsizing. Once I started removing a few things, there were so many others that I don’t really need. Now just those must have items are aboard and things are so much better.

Most everything on my list is a must have on the boat - at least for me personally. Even a hat is a must for those bright hot sunny days as well as sunscreen.

I have had some stuff in my bass boat that I sold a few years back. In TN, my back door neighbor was a corn field and with it came mice and rats that eventually found their way into the garage and then into the boat. Then the traps came out and no more rodents. What I found was that if I didn’t keep places for them to make a home it was easier to get rid of them. On top of that I’m kinda OCD about being able to find stuff. What did get kinda choked was the hatch behind the driver and passenger seats. Had to strip and review them now and then. A small 5.56 ammo box tool kit has saved the day a few times, fuses included. The previous owner of that boat mad a set of jumper cables from welders leads that got used a few times too. They were just long enough to reach from the trolling batteries to the start batteries. Best thing in the boat for busy folks who sometimes forget things.

Sold that boat and now carry so litttle I have to make sure that I have the essentials and safety gear on board. The skiff has no storage, that’s an adventure in itself.

not sure if its been mentioned but I always used to carry a big ole heavy rebar 3 prong grappling hook on a long rope with me .
never know when it might be handy for sure , just saying :cheers2

I had a trip back in December that I left my console unit, as well as the nav/anchor lights on as we started just prior to sunrise, and fishing the same spot all day long. Pretty epic bit of fish stacked up in the mouth of a particular creek, and never had to leave to find fish. Come time to leave, cranking battery was dead. No problem, I've got tools, I'll unhook the TM battery and set it in the back, and use it. So I did. Get all the way back to the ramp, and get loaded up and start stowing and organizing gear before trailering the 45 miles back home, and saw/remembered I had a set of jumper cables one of the storage compartments just for that reason. Whoops.

Absolutely not. I am stocked fully with a bottle of each. And just for good measure I have backup bottles for those. I dropped a bottle of Sab Sauce by a dock I was shooting. Took six months for the fish to move back to the other parts of the lake:fish
