Dems nice! I’ll bet they work good.
Thanks skeet! We are starting to get some open water along the shoreline on a few lakes but with temps below 20, it is too cold to even try to fish right now!
Definately learn proportions tying on the smaller hooks!! They look good!
I always like complimentary comments from the Legends!
Nice looking jigs.
Man they are really nice. The pans should just slam them. Please let us know how they work out.

Really anxious to try them Bob. I'm tying variations almost everyday waiting for a good time to actually get them wet.
Small jigs are harder to make than large ones, and those look nice.
The bream should wear those out.
Nice little ties. Bet they will get em out of the brush! Thanks for sharing
Those will definitely be in the panfish mouths soon and then the panfish will be in your mouth! Very nice ties.
I started tying large trout flies this winter. I'm near a popular river that has great brown trout fishing along with rainbow/steelhead and salmon. I decided to try some size 10-12 dry flies and figured I could move into panfish sized flies and jigs, especially since that is my fishing passion. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I guess at nearly 68 years old it isn't too late to try new things.
If you haven’t already been told or found it on your own, Fly Anglers On Line has loads of info on technique and so on , also known as FAOL. I’d put one on under a float. Patience isn’t one of my strong points, though I do have my moments, so when the water opened up enough I would be there.
I fished something similar last year at ice out under a bobber with a scent stick and slab sauce under a bobber and did well. Hoping to try that again soon. Ice storm tonight will delay those plans.
Nice ties. Fish dinner in your future using those.
I haven’t thought about FAOL in a long time, skeet. They use to have a fly of the week and an incredible library of flies to tie. Most only 7 steps or less. I literally have several hundred on a disc - more than a lifetime supply to try. Every one of them worked in warm water stream fishing. Well worth checking out.

Thanks Bob. There really is a limitless number of techniques, materials, and color combinations on baits like this, eh?
There really is, MCG. Sometimes you can customize for your particular water. Someone mentioned (ship, I think?) tying segmented foam flies - FOAL had an excellent tie with good instructions. I think it was a grasshopper - deadly. I’m a like to look at construction photos guy as opposed to watching videos, so the step by step instructions were right up my alley. I found I could do a copy and paste into a Word document - nice and easy.

I'm going to attempt a deer hair hopper soon. I have all the materials now and some experience using deer hair with my trout flies, so time to jump in and give it a twirl.
Those look really good, even more impressive knowing the hook is that small.
