Plenty places for them to be when the water gets up
a few years ago some of our locals hit 21 on a 7 fish stringer there in tournament .
it is quite possible to ketch a bunch of huge crappie in that lake for sure .
that's insane! One of our local members and his wife are headed down there this week I think. Lucky them!
can you imagine not only doing it one day but going back and doing it the next after conditions change to AWFUL? WTG to those two.
Hopefully one day I can get there and catch some monsters too.

Then North Abutment COE campground there accommodates RV's, campers (trailers), and tents. All of the 80-something sites now have water, sewer and electricity. The other COE campgrounds around the lake have a few sites that don't have sewer but they have water and electricity. Those are very limited. Have to make reservations online and it's first come first serve. All of the launches have a $5 per day launch fee. If you plan on being there longer than 5 days, it's cheaper to buy the annual pass for launching. I make several trips a year up there. It's a 6 hour drive from my house towing my camper and boat. I do minimum 4 nights. I buy the annual non-res fishing license and the day use pass for launching. It's worth both the drive and investment. I've landed 2 pounders here in AL and just swung them over the side in to the boat. I rarely if ever use a net. At Grenada, it's a pretty cool adrenaline rush when you see the fish break the surface and the first thing that comes to mind is "GET THE NET!!!" :biggrinQuote:
