Great video from a great Crappie Dot Com member not named shipahoy41

This member is all decked out in his Crappie dot com hat and crappie dot com shirt too. I try and watch all of his videos because he teaches fishing for crappie and I try and learn as much as I can from his wisdom.

People this is a great video on underspins for Crappie by Richard Gene the Fishing Machine. I felt compelled to post this one.

Comments are welcomed. Using this technique the floss is bonded to the metal and the soft plastic is extremely bonded to the floss and the metal. You will lose your jig before this bond comes off, It is the same principle that fly tiers use when tying marabou or chenille on jigs. We coat the thread and layers of hair with Sally Henson's or Head Cement to achieve a great bond so the lures do not come undone!

I do the Richard Gene floss thing. It works great. Only issue is changing colors. I just change the whole jig. Don

I field tested these. Paired them up with a Slab Curly to go after larger crappie. Nephew and I had 30 from a trout river using these. Since I was testing I used the 1/16 and 1/8. Which is unusual for me as I usually stick to 1/32 to 1/20 ounce jig heads. I think I still have a shoe box full of them in the garage. But the real winner for me was what Richard Gene spoke of…a 1/32 version of the Fin Spin. It had a #6 hook and I used it to catch a bunch of crappie and bluegill. Unfortunately the 1/32 never made it into the inventory. I fished them until I ran out…and then I cried a little and moved on. This lure also used to come in a 1/4 ounce that I used to catch a bunch of white bass in my first video I put on YouTube. It is a crappie catching lure for sure, just heavier than what I like to use.

I do it to learned it form the fishing machine but i tie it like serving a bow string .i lay a loop on the shank wrap it then stick the tag through the loop and pull both tag ends its just makes it easy for me to do it that way .

We both live in Alabama but I am not that guy. LOL I am a fan of his teaching videos. I see a lot of Al Linder in his teaching style.

I hope everyone here, especially you Shipahoy41, read my post with the gest that it was intended with. I will say it was 95% gest and 5% actual confusion. I am aware that this man and I think several others are here on this forum, although I have no actual idea who is who.
