I love this bait so much better with the shorter tail feather. This old dog will be on the hunt today. I am throwing it in the water. Monday, I am going to make myself ten more like it.

Although probably not as much action as the longer tail I too like shorter tails. I try to keep my baits with a smaller profile.

Maybe start with the long tail to entice them, and switch to the short tail if they are short striking it.

Update: I made a few of the newer version for my neighbor yesterday because he was going to Neely Henry. I also gave a few of my slimmer pool noodle slip floats and suggested the float -n- fly technique. He sent me a photo. The crappie he caught on the lure was about as large as a bass he caught. Attached is his photo, a photo of the slimmer pencil type pool noodle slip floats, and my test video of the new dream jig. I welcome more comments. Thank you.

DUMB ME!!!! I posted the wrong float and fly video. This is the one with the slimmer float and the shortened tail on the fly. Forgive me for being careless. Anyway here is the correct video.
