Late day trip planned spur of the moment
Uncle Remus called me around 12:30 pm and ask me to go fishing so you know I had to say yes to that. I had to take a shower before I could go because I was elbow deep into making deer jerky and had to clean up my mess so Nancy wouldn't beat my butt for leaving the kitchen a mess. :bash Made arrangements to meet at the ramp of Ebenezer. Remus hooked up his boat and I showered and got dressed and went and got minnows an hour later me launched the pontoon and proceeded to fish. Found some scattered fish and caught a few perch and wasted about an hour looking around then decided to move up the lake to an old spot we know, and it paid off for us. Ended up catching 14 crappies with 6 others being thrown back. CountryboyNC came by and gave us 1 crappie he had that making it 15 for us now. Water was calm and water temp was 52* I think Remus said. Our fish were caught in 36 to 38 feet of water. We left at dark with light enough to load up pontoon. Thanks Uncle Remus for a great unexpected fishing trip it was well worth putting off the jerky until tomorrow. Good to see weather being fair for a change! Jet skiers were out doing their thing! :Doh:
