Great looking ties
It's a start, eh? Still have problems posting pics, but getting better. First one is a 1/32 #8 sickle.
Nice! Got mine today as well.
Great, looking forward to see what you tie up with it!
Looks like I'll need some practice, eh? :Rofl
Some nice ties there, MCG. Please let us know how they are working.
Bob
Great looking tie MCG1. That awt to get their attention....
Thanks all. I researched JungleJims float n fly video and saw I positioned my feathers incorrectly. Will try again, and have some new ideas on how to use other feathers.
Will be awhile before I get to test them BobC. Freezing rain everywhere here today.
Just tied. Closer to JungleJims tie but I still need to work on the feather prep and placement.Attachment 419817
Great looking work

Tail is long snow goose feather barbules, body is custom dubbing: goose down, rabbit, and fox, legs/wraps goose feather. 1/32 #6.
Finally got the pictures turned, now hey are upside down:bash
Those look great. That last one looks like it will fall pretty slow, and they all look like fish catchers. Great work.
Thanks Eric. Making that dubbing was a new experience. That fly feels silky and oily. I think it will work.
More great work MCG1:cheers2
They look good! Can't wait to see some flies.
I would think the goose feathers would be harder to work with. :dono Nice ties, should work good.
Definitely harder to work with. The quills/stems are very stiff. Here's a giant hex para spinner with goose feather tail and goose spinner wings. Next one I will downsize the wings. Size 8 hook. Deer hair body and post.
Attachment 420030
The spinner wings are much closer in size than the photo shows.
Peacock and goose soft hackle wet fly. Size 12.

Here's a much better peacock and goose soft hackle wet fly.
