Tracker discontinued this model for some reason but I like that setup. Who makes a quality boat in that model? Metal or fiberglass. G2 as I understand is on hold with production. Looking for new thanks

Here is one that is made in Andalusia Alabama.

This one is made by Alweld and finished up by Andulusia Marine. They have a standing production with Alweld. This is the boat I'm buying and should have by March.
This video is a few years old and a few things have changed. The big one being lockable lids rather than cubby storage.

I have been looking at the xtreme built the same. Does anyone have any experience fishing out of one?
Come August I will have owned my 1454 SS for 7 years. Built like a tank. I fish tailraces and beach it on the rocks out of necessity. Here is link to a walk around I did on the boat. I’ve caught thousands of fish out of it and while I think from time to time I want a bigger one in reality I don’t.
Regards

Thanks for the review
I watched your video and because we fish alike I pulled the trigger on a 14ft boat. Mines a tiller but once I sit front I don't have to move until it's time to crank up the big motor. I fish by myself 95% of the time so a big boat is not needed. I seldom venture more than 3 miles from the ramp so the boat fits me perfectly.
Thanks for the video Alphahawk. The boat is awesome. I got a feeling there's more to that trailer than meets the eye. Mine has a rod locker and I was thinking the same thing. I'm already considering ways to install a few rod holders along the inside of the rod lockers. Have you ever looked at the sidekick hydraulic system for stick steering?

Thanks….I have considered it. It is one of those things you have on a want list but you keep putting it off. I need to do the hydraulic….put some SeaDek on top of the boxes and front deck…and I need to replace the seats.

Royal Boats makes a fine fiberglass stick steering touted as the Cadillac of stick steer. I’m impressed by the pre owned boat I purchased. All the components are top of the line.

Non skid. I am not responsible enough for carpet.

no carpet , just something to replace down the road is my thoughts
and in the end as they say , its not about the size of the boat
unless you are headed offshore ....:Rofl

I'm looking at those. New is pricy but I guess if you compare to a G3 or Xtreme they are within 2-3k of each other
I fish out of the panfish 16 and have added a Terrova for spot lock and upgraded graphs. I really like the boat but I would love that 1860 Alweld . It would have a lot more room and a much bigger motor. The biggest complaint I have on mine is its got a max 40 hp rating and I only have a 30 horse on it. Its a straight up 23mph boat but it does let me get in tight places with the stick steering.
I have owned a G3 stick steer for 5 years.I have also owned 2 High Tide Bug Busters with stick steer.I just love the way they fish, ride may be a little rough at times.I have owned quite a few boats over the years but keep coming back to a stick steer. The only thing I don't like on Tracker and G3 is live well in the center, other boats with it on side works better freeing up floor space.Love Alphahawks and Royal boats.
Thanks everyone for your input. I’ve done much research and narrowing the pack down. Within the next few days I’m going to take a trip to the panhandle of Florida and visit Xtreme And then go to Andalusia marine to look at Alweld and they also have a couple of royal boats. I am looking at a 1654. I think it should give a considerable amount of room and stability versus a 48. If anyone disagrees I’d love to hear from you. Thanks again everyone for their input. It helps much
I've never met the guys at Andulusia Marine. But they seem to know a lot about panfish/stick steer boats. And I can't wait till I get the phone call from them to tell me boat is ready.

Just look for a wide, open and a deeper vee to help ride.A custom builder is great because you can get what you want and also what you don't want.
I'm hoping it comes together next weekend. But I haven't got the call yet.

I am just about ready to buy a 1652 Alweld Stick Steer boat. The one concern I have is that the lakes near me are restricted to a 9.9 hp motor. I know that the boat would not get on plane but I think it would push the boat pretty well. I'm 220 lbs and wife is 125 lbs. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks!
Tracker does still make the "TF" model with the option to put 2 seats up front. It's their crappie boat.
I have this boat and really like it.

That boat is fairly light and if your happy with a 9.9 speed now you will be happy with on the new boat. I have the 18x56 remote steer with a 75hp. Last week I had over 900lbs of beer and cornbread in it and it did 30 mph at 4700rpm. I love everything about the boat

I have a older stick steer the only thing i would say is make sure your live well is on the side and not in the middle of boat. Mine is in the middle makes it hard to move from front to back. A supension seat would be something to add, I have two batteries under the front seat but when the water is ruff some hard licks will happen. Looking for something for my boat but most supension seats are for really ruff water may be over kill on the water i fish, also cost $800 and up. I have been in catchnfish's boat nice boat.
I bought a Rhino Lil-Bull stick steer boat. Handmade in Hartford, AL. It is a solid well built boat. I have really enjoyed fishing from this boat. The majority of my fishing is in rivers, ox-bows and smaller lakes and this boat is perfect for this.
