1/16 Diner Shiners
I painted these up yesterday and tied half of them since I might use some for soft plastics. These are 3x the weight of the jigs I have been using the last couple months at 1/16 th, have been using 1/48th. On windy days the little jigs drift too fast, hopefully the heavier head will slow it down some, don't think fish want to chase down a bait when water is really cold and clear. Awesome, thanks for sharing

Very nice Jim. 1/16 is the weight I use 98% of the time and I think that gets to lightweight sometimes...lol.

Love those dark snake-headed looking ones. Nice work!;)

Nice jigs. Mallard flank is great for cold water.

I like em Jim. I’ve been using little jigs for a while and fought the river current with em. My thoughts were along the same lines as yours….. I need a bigger head.

Ooh, this look fishy! Gotta get me some of those feathers.

Those are almost to pretty to use. Almost! Hope you wear out the crappie with them

I've been tying with duck feathers for over 25 years and it's still my favorite go to bait. First hand tied bait to catch fish for me, caught over 100 crappie, bass and bluegill that first time using them and have been tying them ever since and they still work as good as ever.
