Anybody use the 5lb. white line for single pole jigging ? likes ? dislikes ?
I bought a spool in hi vis yellow. I have not used it very much. So far it does a good job and cast pretty well
have not tried it , but my bud used to sell it ,,,, is there a p line as well ? he is always trying to get me to buy some braid , not sure why ?
I’ve used K9 Crappie Braid hi viz since it was released. I love it BUT it is 5 pound test and as thin as sewing thread so it has its places for use. If you are fishing heavy cover and swinging your crappie, you might consider the heavier K9 braid. For casting, it has no peer.

It will be fine for you. I used it for a while a couple years ago single pole jigging in stakebeds and swung fish into the boat up to two pounds. I actually prefer the five pound to their heavier braids, it comes off the reel a little smoother. One caveat though, I always use a fluorocarbon leader with any braid, I can’t speak to the abrasion resistance of the braid itself in wood cover. Overall it’s not my favorite braid but it’s very serviceable and pretty easy to find here locally compared to my normal line.
I have used they small quick clips to prevent some of that issue.
That is the way I have it arranged most of the time.
