Stout Crappie Rod (10-12')
I'm brand new to the site and impressed so far with all the content. Very great forums!
I have gathered some valuable info for crappie fishing in my home state of Wisconsin, but for now I am actually looking for a stout rod in the 10-12' length that has the backbone to stick the hooks into a walleye or simply stout enough to pull in a larger game fish and not be too wimpy. A Fast or Extra Fast action would be best, but I have minimal experience with these exceptionally long crappie rods in the market.
I just ordered and received a 10' Jenko Hypersense rod for crappie fishing. While I think I will like it for crappie jigging, it will no way have the backbone to stick a larger fish for my other purpose.
So, are there any rods out there that may work for my request? These rods don't necessarily have to be the top of the line models. They just need to have to be Fast to Extra Fast and have backbone.
Thank you in advance.

I would look at either the 10.5ft Huckabee Elite or the 11’ Huckabee Pulling rod. They are built off the same rod blank, the Elite is just butt trimmed six inches and has smaller stainless guides. The weight on these rods isn’t as bad as some of the longer models. I have fished with about all of the Huckabee models as well as most of the other brands and the Elite is my favorite. Have been using them for several years now, chose them over the Kevin Rogers Jenko, which I also spent a lot of time with. The Kevin Rogers series are lighter but more of a tip heavy blank and not as solid swinging fish truly over 2lb in the boat.
