Did a little jig fishing on Lake Harris today. Fished from 9:30 til 2:30 using 32nd ounce jigs with orange/chartreuse tubes, kind of a slow bite but decent fish, threw a few under 10” back. Most were 12 to 13”.

Nice mess of healthy Crappie. Orange and chartreuse is an interesting color combo. I seem to do best with black and chartreuse.

GFY those are some solid crappie.
They spawning there? I know they are all black crappie but those seem very dark.
They are getting ready for the dance but the water is still running in the upper 60’s hopefully this next weeks temps will bring it down to normal. I did go again the other day and had all females with eggs, the eggs are still firm.
