Look like Chile to me.
They ate all the tomatoes :biggrin
Same stuff here each evening...
I took the photo from the truck. They were really unconcerned that I drove that close to them. The Shepherd was barking her head off.
That one second from the right. I can tell that is a bad deer. I am afraid you will need to do something about that bad deer. I only shoot the the bad ones myself.
The only thing I got out of the garden was corn and potatoes this year. They ate all the tomatoes, green beans, peppers, squash, and zucchini. I believe it would be hard to find a good one in the bunch. This garden is enclosed in an electric fence. Which they have torn down five strands of wire. I need to buy a crossbow and quietly put one or two in the freezer
Jack- Possible cure = Fully mounted(taxidermed) deer displayed @eye-level, configured with "Four hooves to the SKY = NO TRESPASSING ALL SURVIVORS would be cordially invited for another LAST SUPPER!!nononoDevil Icon:biggrin
Another, cheaper option, would be to hang an "unlucky/uninvited" buffet-guest in EFFIGY. Further cost considerations(savings?) would be nearby tree, installed post(wood/steel/PVC), cable(coated/non-coated) vs. rope(cotton/nylon) etc., etc.:juggle
Always here for help, Jack!:highfive

invite your bowhunting buddies out and turn them loose.
That would be one way to handle it
I don’t remember the name of it or know how effective it is but they make a spray or powder people use on shrubs and plants to keep deer from eating them around peoples houses in the suburbs. It may not be good for edibles in the garden but you might consider that route if you wish. On the other hand, the crossbow would provide a means of trading maters for meat. 😉
I knew a farmer once that had the same problem. He bought a few noise cannons. They had a timer that dropped a small piece of carbide into water about every 10 minutes and made a loud boom about like a ten gauge shotgun. He said they worked very well till they got used to them, then only kept him awake all night! rotfl
They came up four steps onto the deck and ate the tomato and strawberry plants last year
Hey man, just screen it in and put a trip wire to spring the door shut! Just put out a bucket of water on the deck and butcher one as needed! They already got strawberries and maters to eat!
Sorry. My wife says my mind don’t work right.
Do you have room to increase the size of the garden? All that good food, those does are likely to produce more fawns than normal. They’ll need the extra groceries!
Actually considering putting in a greenhouse. It ahould take them a minute to figure out how to get into it
I think I would begin to like venison
go buy a roll of 4 foot tall field fence and some 10 foot t posts
run a second 4 foot above the first and for less than real deer fence costs you got deer fence.
works really well , just saying ....
disclaimer time .....wont stop coons :Rofl
There are more deer in the suberbs than there are in management areas
Definitely looks like some thugs! LOL
