I don't use them very often. There are several threads here on the topic. The one I use the most is the little crawfish

For crappie, I like chartreuse if the water has any color to it. White is great for clear water.
In addition to the above, I am liking the Bulldog as well. At one time or another I have never had one fail to catch something.

I really like them all. Bison is a great bait so is the Sowbug. I also like the black and green color. I am amazed that the crappie can see those little baits. Had it not been for Alphahawk I may have never tried them. Thank you sir!!!

I love them! Pink and white for crappie. If I'm catching bluegills brown and red are absolute killers!
As I am now downsizing for the seasonal change, they are back in the line up. I have the brightly colored baits for my stained waters.
I use Bison the most
The white chartreuse combo works great in my waters.

white, orange or black chartreuse are all producers.
I know you said bison and sowbug before but they don't look like much so don't have teh confidence in them. will try tho as so many seem to have success with them
Most any baits will catch fish and colors more important to fishermen than fish . Tons of jigs out there from solid plastics , tubes , creature baits and handties . Some places Crappie may feed on smaller baits but here mostly eat Shad so we use bigger baits all year with success . Confidence in your bait / presentation means alot . All I use is big tube baits and nearly always 2 colors . Orange/ chartreuse or purple / chartreuse . Been many posts on colors of baits and brands . Bait makers want you to believe in the need for a huge array of baits in a rainbow of colors . They do this to increase sales .Use what you have confidence in and it will pay off for most fishermen . :twocents
As nimrod said above use what you have confidence in. Confidence is the “X” factor. Give the Bison a fair shake and commit to it on water you know and then decide one way or the other. I’m always surprised at the different types of water on my stream that it works on, and it stays productive throughout the seasons.
