Good looking fish
Good looking setup. Nice fish as well. Congrats
installed mine today, fishing in the a.m.
These pics are with DEFAULT settings.... I didn't change much at all today.... fish were biting and had the family out. Sure loved seeing the fish swimming around and reacting to my minnow though. I thought I had used the units "record" function (instead of a cell phone video) to get some good video to show how well it picked up my minnow and split shot (very distinctively separated from each other on the screen and only about 3 inches apart) and how the fish would come in to bite or just check it out, but I guess the record function did not work properly. I was using a slip cork and you could even see the cork at the top of the screen when it hit the water and as I drug it back to me.
I've also noticed that when these screenshots are small, they show the detail and look like they did on my graph.... but when enlarged on facebook or maybe on here... they look a little more blurry or soft. Now I'm not saying the images were crystal clear like side imaging or down imaging can show... but they showed me everything I need to see and I AM HAPPY with it. But I was impressed that the image was so "clean" and without weird artifacts in the water column. I did mess for a sec with sensitivity to see how blown out looking it would get... but even with it up high the whole picture or water column stayed clean. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything either (like if it was filtering out data) Like I said... this is my first experience with "live sonar". I don't care if its better or worse than another brand.... it seems as though it is going to be just fine with me.

Those deeper water shots look clear like Garmin . What is it like in shallow water say 4 to 6' ?
Thank you for sharing. It looks pretty good to me.
looks like a dandy graph set up , congrats :highfive
Have you fished with anyone that has livescope?
If so how do they compare?

I didn't try those depths yet so I can't say. But I was impressed with the "auto" function of the depth and range settings. As my depth changed the range and depth both adjusted accordingly. I did manually adjust my depth for a while to 25' to make it use the whole screen (pictures 3 and 4), but the rest of the time I let the unit adjust as it wanted to.
I also really liked how the forward view shows images from a little under the boat as well. We caught several fish dropping down off the side of the boat, at about my seat position, when we were a little too on top of the brush. As you can see, the most detail was when the brush was in the 0-25' distance range at the depth I was at, but the blurred image further away would still show the fish moving around. I'll just have to play with settings more in my next trips (who knows when that will be though) and hopefully put some tips to use from others that share their experiences.
