If you're considering a trip to fish below the dam, you might want to wait a week or two. Very heavy rain has been "training" through the Paint Rock valley for over 5 hours now. I can't imagine how messed up the river is going to be.

I would up several times tonight to the sounds of hard rain. I don't usually hear the rain lots of water running out of the mountains now
I just saw on the weather that much of the PRV got 10"-12" of rain. Ditto will be rolling...
Those fields down along 72 will be underwater for sure. That's a lot of rain
I’m new at this. How long before it gets to Decatur?

I went by limestone today and it was up but not the least bit muddy. Just trying to plan a trip tomorrow.

May not get muddy without some muddy water traveling through.
Thanks.

Plenty of water up this way headed down into lake Guntersville.
Make sure it has eel grass in it, we don’t want to run out.
We are sending this good and fertile Tennessee soil to help what you have down there grow better.
Upper end of paint rock don’t look bad !
I was thinking what was Fur talking about then I crossed over it 15 miles down the road and it’s 20’ up in the trees. (Lol)
The only thing that kept it from going over Hwy 72 is that it's such a wide expanse of flat ground. I've never heard of people getting 10"-12" of rain in 6-7 hours without it being some kind of Tropical Storm. I've always said I didn't worry about flooding because I live on a mountain, but Arab is on a mountain too and it was horrible.
