These 1/32 Oz Pony's mostly have the old sickles, except the Red ones and I think they are the Nasties from when they first came out.
Half have Brass Willow Leaf blades and half have Colorado Brass blades.

Pretty
Very nice work!

Thank you guys, I appreciate all the kind comments.
ksnouf it really doesn't take too long for the crappie to shorten the tails, lol! The longest ones are about 2 1/2" long for the entire jig and the crappie here love them.

Consistency, the mark of a master craftsman! Great work Skip.
I’ve always appreciated the consistency of your baits. Something I struggle with, especially shorter ones. Nice work mister!
I agree with the comment crappie shorten tails. I really like feather jigs but they can strip them in bout an hour of catching.
In that amount of time they would have torn up several plastics
True to that, plastic/silicon are great when crappie are in suicide mode and I'm lazy but when they are more finicky I want my feathers and there is not anything more satisfying in fishing as catching on hand tied. Retying a jig cause it is wore out is great. :cheers2 I have found that when I go to plastics I really like my screw coil collar, it helps make plastic last and no more pull down.
Nothing much helps the jigs I shot under the docks. It is a hard life. Once it goes under the dock there is a chance it will not come back. Fishing open water is a lot kinder and gentler on higs.
Agree 100%, I’ve always admired your tying abilities Skip. [emoji106]

Thank you all so much and love the discussion!
Hey my neighbor and I really got into them at the beginning of their spawn back a few year, I mean all big male black crappie. That first week I had all I needed for the year in my freezer and he also had that plus his sister and another family member or two. Anyway the reason for me even telling this part is he got really lucky about not loosing his jig and after several days of fishing he decided to retire it and the marabou tail was not mock more than a nice spot of Chartreuse, lol! That happen to be after 125 crappie caught on that jig. Just saying, they eat them tails off, but it take a good many to finish the job, lol!

Nice as always
