I know there are more than a dozen or so crappie fishermen in Tennessee. I challenge all of the Tennesseans that read this forum to register and contribute for the benefit of all.

Great idea. Never hurts to have folks to network with. While shooting docks this morning around the Hwy 58 bridge on the Hiwassee. I saw 5 other boats shooting docks.
I was excited to see other folks out shooting. Also saw some fish boated.
Challenge accepted - hello, fellow Volunteers!
Welcome aboard. Glad to have ya
I would love to post more. I am an ok crappie fisherman occasionally. I really love crappie fishing and any other type fishing but honestly, I do not compare to the regular crappie fisherman on here. Just got my boat out of the shop and will try and post more. Will sporadically fish but Tn. deer season opened today so will probably hunt more than fish.
I have been challenged. I will post crappie fishing trip just as soon as I quit fishing tailwaters. I promise, that it won’t be long.
The husband and I went fishing today. Good thing we weren’t fishing for our dinner because we’d have starved!
It was around 55 degrees this morning when we put in at Normandy, the water temp around 75, I think. Lots of fog, and still a fair amount of floating debris left over from the flooding/rain from a week or so ago. We saw plenty of fish on the fish finder (that we are still learning to use) but they weren’t interested in jigs. We couldn’t stay very long so we gave up and tied on some rooster tails to fish fallen trees along the bank. Caught several bluegill and bass, and ONE tiny crappie. We are used to kayak fishing smaller and more shallow areas (Duck river blue way, Williamsport lakes) so we’ve got a lot to learn about fishing in a boat on a much larger, deeper lake.
We didn’t catch much, but then I have no problem admitting that we don’t know what we’re doing. So, today’s fishing report is worth exactly what you paid for it - NOTHING! LOL It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed ourselves - it was certainly better than yard work/house work. :biggrin
Good report. Fishing has been tough lately. But it does seem to be getting beter
Now that you have posted your first report, you're good to go. Now you can post your own reports in your own thread. How cool is that? Even though the report that you post is a a not so good one, they are still every valuable. They give an idea of what the fish are doing at any given season.

Gets kind of quiet on the Tennessee page from time to time. We are on our way to fixing that
Don't sell yourself short. Just 'cause some of us post on this forum doesn't mean we know how to catch fish. (Speaking for myself of course). Here's how my day went yesterday on the Tennessee River. Dropped my 2nd favorite spinning combo in the river 30 minutes into the trip. Couple hours later a hooked a big one but it turned out to be a real big spotted gar with my jig in the corner of it's mouth. Now i'm as brave as the next man but I ain't grabbin that jig! I tried poking the jig out and broke the tip off my favorite spinning combo!
Moral to the story......post anytime you like.....whether you catch' um or not!
The few time I got to go this summer. My performance was dismal. I sure did enjoy going. Something about being on the water that sets things straight a lot of times
You mean one of these things? I used a towel to grab it's mouth to remove my jig. It wasn't getting my jig. I was fishing a brush pile for Crappie...Attachment 409602

At least you got out on the water today.
I haven’t done much fishing at all this year but I’m planning on changing that soon.
I've had a lot of changes in my life since June 2020 but I’ve been getting the itch to go more.
Welcome to the forum from another Tennessee member. If you fish Kentucky Lake maybe we’ll cross paths sometime.
Great idea! My crappie fishing has been pretty much non existent for the past several months. Life has got in the way. Hoping to fix that very soon!
Work has slowed down enough I am getting a few weekends off. I will be on the water more often
BEAUTIFUL FISH :ThumbsUp
I may be new at this but I will see if I can take this challenge to heart
It's as easy as learning to ride a bike... Glad to have you.

Just 2 new members? I find that hard to believe. Lacking a little Volunteer sprit aren't we?

Stage fright perhaps.
I could make a report about the little trip I made the other day but it would just be a picture of an empty live well.
Every little bit helps in determining what's going on with the fish's movements. For instance if you said you were fishing in 15 to 20 for the water that would give a clue as to maybe the fish were more shallow this time of year. As they should be as they are probably still moving.

I may try to go tonight. It was foggy this morning I am thinking it will be the same in the morning
Well I am here. I will try but I think most of what I do will be too boring but may bring a laugh or two!
It's 60 degrees now so where are my long johns! I may go fish'un
Most of us enjoy fishing stories. Photos of the fish always a plus
Well I will post a pic! I don't think its a catfish though!

Interesting photo
Welcome Mstr Dan. A good fishing story and or a good laugh always welcome. And when they go hand in hand, that's even better.

Spider Rigged (minnows, wouldn't touch a jig or crank) a few from Watts Bar yesterday with my daughter. Caught fish in 15-25 FOW. 72-75* Water temp. Fish are moving into the creeks seems like but they are very active. I did find one dock that had fish STACKED under it in 22 FOW... 0 Bites. Tight-lipped outfits. Baby stripe (white bass) were aggravating... :Rofl

Some nice eating there. I thought of going this morning. Decided against it with all the wind. Thank you for the report
Thank you for the report, a trip with your children are the best in my fishing log book.
Thanks for sharing
Went out for couple hours yesterday… These 2 eaters and 8-10 9 7/8” fish. Caught them in 22’ FOW in a creek on brush. They were stacked. Minnows for bait

thanks for the info. I hope to finally catch some this weekend myself. But even if I do not I will have fun trying.
