fishing bucket
been wanting to make 2 fishing buckets for shore fishing, i see there are alot of top available for the buckets, i do like the tackle trays that fit on the top of the bucket, but they are not seats, is there anything out there that you can sit on and still have access to a tackle tray, looking for ideas

I don’t know of any but there are some collapsing seats that have pockets that could hold small tackle trays.
You could get one of those 5 gallon bucket seats with a lid that is a seat. Your catch could go in the bucket and you could carry a small tackle box. I had one of these for dove hunting.

Saw a pontoon boat yesterday that had two of the stackable packout type boxes on it. That had to be a ton of tackle

Fishin n stuff does a tackle bucket on Y Tube. That one starts at 3 minutes 30 seconds into the video.

Another bucket to use, is a cat litter bucket.

I think Craftsman has a rectangular five gallon bucket with a locking lid

Hey Chet,
Here is my work in progress…..I wanted to consolidate my minnow bucket, tackle box, collapsible chair and other necessities in to as small a load as possible. I also wanted to be able to keep the stuff I used regularly in it and not pilfer from my tackle box or forget something.
The bucket is the standard Home Depot job. I picked up the Plano bucket top tackle box lid, and that worked ok. Not comfortable to sit on, and has limited storage. Then I looked at the Husky tool holder, but the ones available here go inside the bucket, and I wanted to be able to keep my minnows in the bucket. That lead to this that I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A738IO0...roduct_details. There are a few different models to choose from at different price points. It has a spot for my aerator pump, sleeves for some small tackle boxes and lots of external pockets. I tried using a square boat cushion for a seat, and while it worked, the strap was awkward fitting over the bucket handle and a pain to carry. I found a round memory foam pad that works well, easy to remove, and easy to put in the washing machine. So far it works ok, but the whole thing was getting a little heavy, so I got these handle grips that make it much more comfortable to carry. I can carry this rig in one hand, rods in another, and do one trip to the bank from the car. In the end, I ended up spending a little more than I wanted, but it’s working out just fine.

Go to your nearest donut shop and ask if they sell or give away their jelly buckets(come with lid), our local one throws theirs in a dumpster and won't stop the 'divers'.--shu
