With the weather being hot and the crappie bite slow, I decided to try my hand at building a rod. Quite a learning experience. Fun but yet frustrating. It is nice to be able to say " I built this" Now hopefully they (the crappie ) will come.:biggrin

Nice job, hope it works well for you.
Very nice!!!
Looks great !
Great looking rod
Very nice craftsmanship
I would love to see the rod build details
Nice! Good job.
Thank you all for the feedback. The rod blank is a CRB 7 foot light with M/F action, Winn split grip, Fuji standard spin reel seat and Fuji model LY guides. Being new to this I hope these are the details that you were asking about
DockShootinJack. I used a CRB hand wrapper and rod dryer. I used it for the first time yesterday evening and it even caught a couple of fish.
Looks like a great fishing setup
Nothing like catching a bunch of fish on a rod you built yourself. It's special. I've been fortunate to have experienced this many times. Why to go.

Nice work. I’m waiting to hear the story of the big hybrid or largemouth that gets a hold of the jig on that rod, it’s gonna be fun!!
It is a good feeling to catch them on a rod you built
:ThumbsUp
