I don't have their number, but I'm friends with Linda on FB, and I looked her daughter Misty up to message her. She said they are doing fine and she just talked to them about an hour ago. Glad to hear it!

I talked to Gene this morning....they are safe...got some minor damage to house roof....major damage in Houma....buildings laying in the street...major power outage...he has a portable generator running a window unit for A/C....problem is getting gas for the generator....may have to make a run to Lafayette for gas...couldn't do more than a week of this...
So glad they were under God's watchful heart.
Got a text from PPG.
“Just got cell service again for a few minutes. We are fine, minimal problems. No water, no electrical. Let CDC friends know we are well. Thanks and keep praying. “

I texted Gene this morning and he said all is well and they have no immediate needs except power and water. And Water should be there soon but have no word on the power. He said they are using a generator to keep the freezers going and keep the phones charged. He said he would let me know if and when they need help. From being in this same position a year ago, I can tell you that they will need gas! Problem I have, is that I live so far away and the truck I would have to use, would use up most of my gas and I wouldn't be able to get back home as there are no gas stations that will have gas close to there! So if anyone closer can assist, GAS would be greatly appreciated I am sure!
Yes...we got a whole home generator and water so all is fine....got my grandson, his girlfriend and their 1 week old baby boy.....no tree or house damage from storm...thanks for your concern....Quote:

They have a system going with, as Shadow said, fuel is a problem. His son drove to Lafayette and picked up a load. Seemed to be in good spirits.
Just might have to make a good Goo run for PPG. Old River Morganza maybe.:biggrin

Josh’s mom drove down from Miss. to deliver us a hundred gallons of gas. That should hold us until either the power comes back on or we can get more gas locally. There is nothing like good friends. CDC has some of the best.
