Does anyone have experience with the War Eagle 2170 center console boat? How it performs, stability etc.
I have no first-hand experience with them, but if you come up with an extra let me know.

Have 2 buddies that have them. Handle big water very good. Very stable and excellent fish boats. Only problem I have is they have to help me up on front deck because my old legs don’t work so good anymore and it’s a pretty good step.
My carolina skiff also has a tall step Charlie. I built a step that’s about half the height to make it easier to get up there. Works pretty good. If the boat suits your needs it would be a small thing to fix.
I have been thinking about a step myself. My knees aren't liking the front deck of my boat
You don't see very many used ones for sale, and when you do they don't last long. Speaks volumes to me...

I haven't fallen out of the boat, but I have jumped in. For those that don't have a ladder on their boat, an option could be to stand on the motor and raise it with the trim switch, then step in when possible. I wouldn't make it a routine, but it might make a difference someday...

I had to swim to my bass boat and climb in when it got away during launch. That was 12 years ago. I could probably get back into the Jon but have to try it with the skiff, much higher sides.
I saw a loop of rope that hooked to a cleat to help one get back in the boat. It would be easy enough to make. I figure if I can get high end to get my waist above the side of the boat gravity will get me the rest of the way in. Just a thought
Not sure how the wake boats are where you guys fish, but one of the lakes I visit it can get dangerous. It is best to have a game plan ahead of time. I usually skeeedadle when they start showing up.
i used to stand alot when i jigged , i dont much anymore , not near as fleet of foot and steady and dont really want to go swimming when i am ketchn most of the time :Rofl
Last year I had a wave over the front of that 18.5 Stratos. It washed over pretty good. Took a few minutes for the water to drain down into the bilge to be pumped out. That guy was out in the channel about 70 yards off. I turned the boat toward the wave. Swiveled around in the seat, cast back to the rock ledge, then got wet feet. Gave the front deck and the cockpit a good washing. HaQuote:
