Quite interesting to compare the two. Japanese area trout anglers absolutely love low inertia reels. I have read a lot of articles about why low inertia reels benefit them when area fishing….very interesting outlook they have on it. The Airity is priced about 85 bucks higher. But the specs make it clear the Presso will be like turning air…just as the 2017 Presso Limited is…but this new model will have oil tuned bearings to make it require even less resistance to turn the handle. I really like the looks of the 21 Presso….and really like the 40mm handle.Quote:

It's crazy you posted this the same day I got my hands on my 2nd 2017 Presso. It was sitting on my desk unopend when I got a heads up text from Jawajatek. I got mine through a new friend who found one for sale. Saw one on Ebay for sale at 1400.00 As some of you know I have the exist, the stella and now 2 of the 2017 Presso's. I have said for a year that all 3 are great but the presso has been my hands down favorite. I will punch the button when they are available. Didn't have time to watch the whole video but what's the price on the 2021 and when is it supposed to be available? Scott
The MSRP is about 450 bucks. Between physical therapy visits for my new knee all I do is brows all the sites looking for gear. So as soon as someone has it for order I will post. Daiwa says available in September.Quote:

In all likelihood it is made in China. I’m only guessing here….but the Airity has one less bearing and yet the 21 Presso has one more bearing…and oil filled bearings….yet the Airity is priced higher. So I’m thinking that price difference reflects the fact the Airity is made in Japan and the Presso is not. But my logic may be flawed as the first of the new Luvias were made in Japan yet the 2nd run of Luvias were made in China yet the price remained the same.Quote:

There is a frame in that video (at 1:10 min) where the label on the reel's foot can be seen. Quality is quite low and Youtube 's playback speed options are quite limited, but it looks like it may be China... Hopefully I'm wrong.
I would think the price difference also reflects magnesium alloy body from Exist (in Luvias Airity) vs plastic body from Luvias LT (in Presso LT).Quote:

According to Plat mine just shipped. Got 2 on the way, if they are at least as good as my '17 I'll be happy if better I might be done buying rods and reels for a while accept to eventualy replace my 2nd slow taper special that I shortened making a cast with a bass rod while leaving it standing up in my rod holders.:bash Scott

No sir. I copied and pasted what appeared to be a shipment notifiaction but the tracking number doesn't pull up and haven't heard anything.
