Hard fighting and good tasting. Hard combination to beat
Nice catch and really some nice size to them. Tacos sound like THE way to go!
Bob
Caught another big one. They aren't very consistent in this heat. Seems like everything else was biting though. I haven't caught a carp in over 20 years...lol. These were all on a #6 brass bream hook.Attachment 406203Attachment 406204Attachment 406205Attachment 406206

Slabopotamus, much envies on the redears, I haven’t caught one yet fishing lake mead and the many ponds Clark county Nevada (don’t believe we’re stocked with them). However although I don’t target them per se common carps are a plenty in lake mead and in some local ponds…

Larger ones are shy but these dinks go after the Float-n- fly rig like they are panfish…lol.

Those come from the Cumberland? I'm in Christiana. I go to Normandy, Woods, Nickajack mostly. Started fishing the Cumberland recently. Really enjoy the river fishing.
Old Hickory Lake....Cumberland River.

Nice catch. I am assuming you caught those on Old Hickory. Not a lot of folks know but that place is full of shell cracker. I fished that lake a lot in the 60’s.

Those are some fine looking redear your catching. Those carp and cats are no pushovers either, especially on lighter gear.
Healthy looking channels there. And boy that shell cracker ain’t no joke.
Nate.
