As much as I don't like BA boat ramp it at least gives some security that we all have said things about over time with the riff raff coming through there day and night ! Paying is not all that bad when you can at least leave your vehicle there for how ever long without being stolen or being threatened or robbed when you return to the ramp. With the crime getting out of hand all around us we need to stay somewhat humble and take it with a grain of salt. Changes happen! The DNR has been talking about the building of the park at BA ramp for years. Now it is going to happen and we can't say for sure it will be packed by campers with those hills. Bass tournaments pack the parking lots more than campers do. Crappie fishermen will have to mix in best we can and wiggle in for a spot to park. Free parking is going to be a thing of the past because money matters to DNR and Duke Energy. :popcorn
Kinda glad and sad at same time. Will be nice to have the security and lighting we need at night. But again something else to pay for. Wonder if they asked for any input on how to lay it out from folks that will be using it? They screwed up Ebenezer I think. But old people don’t think good anyway. Gonna be open August 2022? Wanna bet.

Sorry bout that fish finder. Now ya wanna bet it opens in November! Look how long it took on Ebenezer. And it was mostly there already. Ain’t nothing at Allison except some deep gully and hills. Lots of tree work and grading to make it camper usable. Folks ain’t gonna put them $250 thousand dollar mobile homes on them hills. Be fun to see what outcome is though. We will just have to be first at the gate at Ebenezer for a while. Hey but they do offer reserved parking spots for the day.
