Attachment 404316I use spinners that I make.
I don't know about good, it does catch lots of Sunfish, Bass and Crappie at the pond about Attachment 4043373/4 mile from my house.
Creek Smallmouth love it.
Hard to beat a Trout Magnet.
Nate.
I throw a light jig most times, and a beetle spin some. The jig usually wears an Itty Bitty Slab Slayer in one of about 5 colors. Those keep me busy on most days. Still working on the fly rod, nothing consistent for me yet.

I lean towards the trout magnet for gills. Black\ green have been really good for me.
Gulp mini earthworms. The natural color, and put them on a #10 fly hook under a float or just bare if you can sight fish them. In deep water I have had very good success drop shooting these with the same hook over a 1/16-3/16 drop shot weight. Just remember to not set the hook until you feel the SECOND bite, first bite they grab it and the second bite bluegills suck it in all the way.
One-inch Gulp Minnow.
Unusual grub shapes rigged on light ball heads get it done!

Mega Dittos on that. Gulp Alive 1 inch minnow is a crazy good bait for bluegill.
I was a died in the wool live red worm or live spike (maggot) fisherman until 2 years ago. I sometimes still fish with them but not because I need to. It’s more for “old times sake” now.
I use a drop shot rig with a #4 Owner Mosquito hook tied directly on 4 lb fluorocarbon about 8 inches above a 5 to 8 gram weight, depending on the depth. I may be targeting bluegill but I invariably catch other species on the 1 inch Gulp Alive minnow, the ones that come packed in liquid in a jar. Color doesn’t seem to make much difference but I usually use “Smelt” because it is a neutral “minnow like” color.
