Those to pretty to fish with. Especially like the bottom one with yellow hair.
All are excellent but like Super Dave said, those bottom ones have the WOW factor!
Nice! I still crinkle when I hear the word crinkle. Lol!
I love those paint jobs on the heads .
"OMG", that is some awesome looking jig heads! Talk about some Wow factor! I want a couple to just hang in my Office! Great Paint Jobs for sure!

I’ve been waiting to see what you would come up with and I wasn’t disappointed. Super job on the paint, and the bunnies would be catching smallies ifn I was still in TN. The second ones are just a great all around jig. Never seen a bad duck feather jig from you. Good work Mister!!
That crinkle really comes off as organic!
I love it.

Those definitely look awesome
THESE JIGS LOOK LETHAL....VERY NICE WORK
WOW, those are impressive. Museum quality work.
Confession, 2/3 of the three football heads were baked too long and had a cone head so I chipped the pointed paint off and rebaked them at higher temp hoping it would fill in at the chip but it didn't work. Really need to keep a close eye on them the last few minutes and bake one size head at a time. The 3/8 heads I baked with them turned out great. The jig in the last pics was the first jig that came out painted the way I wanted and I knew I was on the right track. Thanks for all the comments, I'm encouraged to make more.
Awesome work JJ..
We need a video on how these are done,,, amazing stuff!
Con10der, I sent you a PM.
I just put a video up on you tube on how I tie float n fly jigs, like the two bottom pictures. Don't know how to put it on here so if someone can do it that would be fantastic.
Enjoyed the video and seems you will learn from doing that one. It also told me it's easy to get too close to the camera to show things, still think you did a good job with that!
Thanks,

Quick update, I have another tying video up on You tube tying a bunny hair spinnerbait in 1/8, perfect size for crappie. Also found a cure for sagging heads while curing paint in your oven and the crinkle heads are off the charts now. Try baking them in the oven with the heads up instead of down, it works fantastic. Extra paint ends at the collar instead of the tip of the heads, so now I'm baking heads longer at higher temps with 0 coneheads. Found idea on you tube and as soon as I saw it I was like "duh", why hadn't I thought of it before since I have been painting jigs for 30 years.
LOL, yeah we all have our "duh" moments. I mentioned in an earlier post about using the jig clamps to hold them. That keeps the heads up so paint runs down the shaft. My first go at powder painting i hung the jigs and I had paint running from the jig head all the way to the bottom of toaster...lol. Lesson learned, I bought some clamps.
Lol yup they have jig drying clamps for this or you can make your own. I have a few sets but never use them. I hardly ever get cone heads but I use a fluid bed which helps with getting less paint on the head than just dipping straight into paint jar. I believe you get an overall better result with the fluid bed.
I d like the video of doing the crinkle paint,,,,
For a first run on a video, That was great. camera angle could improve as your hand was a bit in the way, but it was holding the materials on the jig. other than that it was pretty good. Really enjoyed the video, great subject too. I haven't seen hoe to tie in the flank feathers on a jig. I would love to see ways of using other feathers other than the run of the mill hackle and marabou feathers we see so often. Thank you JUNGLEJIM for sharing this with us, and Thank you Superdave for getting the video up.
Here is one of the videos. He has a total of 3 currently uploaded on crinkle paint.

I started to do a two part version on crinkle powder paint yesterday and was making an adjustment to my phone angle and the phone popped out of the holder sending things flying. The s**t word popped out of my mouth followed by an F bomb. Video over, delete. I plan on doing more and hopefully everything will improve the more I do. I do have a tripod with light that will rotate 360 but haven't figured that out yet.
Always good work J...

Yep, I agree with SuperDave. Sometimes things happen. I found your videos on youtube thanks to Dave posting it here from their. Great stuff, and I appreciate the effort that goes into making them. They are very informative for sure. Looking forward to the two-part on doing the crinkle paint. I have to wait till the first but am going to get me some of that crinkle paint for sure...Thanks again.
I watched and tried and got silver crinkle jig heads. Hmmmmmm
I still cant get past grey crinkle coating. Doesn’t flow to create effects. I raised oven temp and time. I coated when hot and paint turned shiny and when somewhat cold and paint was powdery looking.
Is it the brand of silver crinkle paint that makes the difference ?
I have run out of ideas.
I’m in the same boat as you and I believe some batches are different than others. Im pretty hip at painting heads and have tried everything for it with minimal separation. I need to try a different crinkle color than silver but got so frustrated with it I put it away.
Try something like a candy or transparent color after a white basecoat. One of my favorites is dip in white base, then dip in candy yellow, tap on orange with brush and into the silver crinkle. I have been baking mine starting at 325 for 10 minutes and then raising temps 25-40 degrees for 5-10 minutes so they run even more. Once I put them in the oven with the heads pointed up I don't open the oven until I am finished. Opening the oven during baking allows cooler air to enter and I think this stops the color separation.
I dipped in plain white, dipped in transparent yellow, then silver crinkle and got.....beautiful silver crinkle heads. I am beginning to think that the brand of silver crinkle matters. Anyways this is frustrating and I am tossing in the towel on this one. Thanks for trying to help and the jigs look great.
Can you give me info to make a order
