then he sends me a big ole kitty fish selfie ?
But onward I drove , up and down them big hills off in the middle of no where .
left turn , right turn , on and on down the dirt roads , finally found him at high noon .
what a fabulous adventure yawl ....neither of us ever been there .
he got permission to fish this little spot in the wooded hills WAY off the paved venue , long forgotten it seems.
I know the folks that gave him permission too and so off we went with myself ,my wife and of course mini KABOOM to meet up and see said "crappie" .
we struggled to ketch fish in the clear water and bright sunshine . some of the typical farm pond sunfish and something that bought jerked the pole out of my hand and escaped . he kept saying for sure he ketched 2 crappie before we got there !
and then ......
K A B O O M ! BIG ole slab Mohawk gets landed !!
Then yet another not racing stripe that looked like its twin !
Then my wife managed a small mohawk as well .
Mini KABOOM only managed to ketch sunfish and it was hot and the bite was tough in such clear water in the bright of the day .
I imagine some time in the future we will return to the middle of nowhere in more favorable fish ketchn conditions , but as of now .....
YES I AM SURE IT WAS A CRAPPIE ! :Rofl
KABOOM is the word yawl :highfive
