I'm so sorry to hear this. Prayers will be joining with so many others all over the country for the best outcome possible in this time of much sorrow and anxiety.

Feel so bad for Mr. Jimmy and his family. Brings back very familiar memories that my family went through back in June. My sweet mother, age 76, had a brain aneurysm and subsequent massive stroke and did not recover. They let us bring her home and she lingered for about a week on hospice care and passed away very peacefully in the early a.m. on June 13. My dad is still very sad and lost. He won’t hardly get out of his recliner and watches old black n white westerns on Grit TV all day long. He’s lost 30 pounds since June. I could not get him to go camping and fishing with us over Spring Break. Says he just doesn’t want to be here.

Makes me sad. So sorry for the Houston family because I know what they’re about to be going through.

Prayers sent for Chris , Jimmy, family and all medical staff involved with the care/ treatment of Chris .2nd Corinthians 12:9 tells us that His (God's) grace is sufficient and that Christ power is perfected in our weakness .

Prayers sent to Jimmy and his wife for God's will be done. Hang in there Jim there is power in prayer.

I first met Jimmy Houston in 1980 and it was like running into an old friend. He and Hank Parker were representing Trilene line at the 1980 BASS Federation World Championship at Grand Lake, OK. I was on the team from Georgia. I’ve followed his shows and talked to he and Chris at several events. I always admired their relationship and mutual love for all things outdoors.

any updates on her? I had this happen to my oldr sister and while she hung around a couple of years after regaining conciousness it was rough time and eventually she passed. BAA's she was a wonderful gal.

The hardest task we will ever have is to trust in the will of God during severe tribulation, yet that is what we are asked to do. My prayers of course will join your prayers. Prayers out to Chris-Jimmy and family.
I meet Jimmy one time back about 1986. He was at a local Wal-Mart doing a promotion thing. It was winter and we had got about 8" of snow that afternoon. That evening me and my brother drove about 15 miles through the snow to meet him and glad we did. Wasn't at lot of people there because of the weather so got to talk to him quite a bit. He was showing us a flipping technique -he could put that jig in a coffee cup every time from long distance away. What a down to earth guy he is. Got a signed 8X10 picture of him holding up a stringer of catfish and have it hanging on my wall still to this day.

I met them in about '91 at Kentucky Lake when she was fishing a Bassin Gals tournament. Awesome genuine folks !
