Nice ! I like swimming jigs , but there’s something about watching that float disappear when floating jigs that gets me excited.

Nice catch, MR, and a Mini Shy Bite float is in my next time out. I’m stuck until Friday, but the weather here is shaping up to be really good, and the last few nights haven’t been real cold. They should be getting about. I’m thinking SB float with maybe a Wooley Bugger to start and then a Trout Magnet. I have made notes from your previous post on shotting weight to try. Got to get it weighted right. Time to start catching a few and break in my new waders!

Yes, I will use soft lead shot that can be adjusted as necessary. The creek has some relatively slow flowing areas along the longer runs and away from the tail outs and ins. a couple of foamy back eddies as well. I have a few spots in mind where if I can just slowly tick the lure just over the rocks I might get a customer or two. Just to get out for a few hours is worth it.

I just showed these pics to my wife, and she asked "Why does He have them facing one way and then the other?"
I answered "Well, some were caught swimming up river, some were caught swimming down river, I recon".
