Does anyone have any DIY molds that they've built to pour "Pushing Weights" for use in front of cranks? Looking for a proven way to build some molds for those types of weights. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to the board. ScottV on the Mississippi board actually pours 3 and 4 ounce trolling weights that are rigged up and ready to go. A lot of us use them for pushing crank baits and they work great
I saw these weights online when looking around for them. I'll likely order a bunch of them in prep for this year. Would eventually like to make my own pattern to pour them as I have a good source of lead that I can use. Thanks for the link!
Maybe we can figure something out, I have a mold and you have lead?
Makes sense to me! Where you located at? I’m a traveling salesman so I’m pretty much behind the wheel of my Silverado most of the time. I’m sure I could find a way to get you a good amount of lead. I’m sure we can work something out that’s good for all!
I use pencil weights I make from a Do-It mold.
Do you just bore a hole in them or imbed a swivel of some sort?
Welcome from Lake St Louis.

I'm actually going to try and make a mold this weekend while down at the farm and have access to my industrial drill press. Saw a couple god you tube video's of how to make these aluminum molds so thought I'd give it a try. We'll see how it works. I'll take some pics of it when done as well as what the weight turns out looking like. Here's what I'm starting with.Attachment 395638
You can buy a commercially made mold from do-it for about 30 bucks. Make them either with straight brass eyes or brass eyes with swivels.
OK, finally got my mold finished. Well almost, still need to add the snap swivel holes to the mold but didn't know what size I needed to use. Got that figured out now but here's some pics of what it looks like and the finished product. Guessing it should sink!
