I am looking for the 1 gram black daiwa jigheads with a #10 hook if anyone has any extra to sell? Of course I am also looking for the 1 gram black daiwa jigheads with a #8 hook as well. I have some assorted sizes I could possibly trade as well but would rather buy.
I've been looking every day for months, but no joy. The last black ones I scored were months ago from the Japan Ebay site, limit 7 packs. Plat told me Daiwa has discontinued them.
I have plenty of glow and a decent amount of black 1 gram #8 and black 1.5 gram #8... they sure are hard to get... I did score some new ones...

Don't discount the glow color. I caught my PB crappie today (pic in main forum) and 4 other big slabs on a simple hand tie, done on a 1.5g #8 hook glow color gekkabijin head. I tied it with monkey milk chenille and shad gray hackle, with 2 strands of krystal flash. I only caught 5 today, but they were all over a pound, and they hit that jig with gusto.
Willing to trade 1.5 gram black #8 hook for 1 gram black #10 hook if anyone is interested
About year ago Amazon sent me 10 packs 1.5g #8 hook black color gekkabijin heads by mistake...Lol, I only ordered one pack to see if I wound liked them...I like them.Quote:

Those are good jigheads for the Trout Magnet, a drop of super glue and you are good to go. I have not tried to powder paint them or use as a hand tie head but I bet they would work, and are readily available.Quote:

I am so sorry to hear of your nephew passing. The daiwa jigheads are really good and so far the closest I can get is the decoy jigheads and they work really good as long as you don’t give those big crappie any slack. I can put them on the bank and the decoy head falls out where as the daiwa head is still stuck deep.
Yes, just started using the 1/64 to make craft fur jigs with. I know one thing, the hooks are way stronger than my gekkabijin jigs.Quote:

This might end up being a double post. (not sure where the one with a screen shot went) Plat has multiple sizes of the diawa heads in stock but, only in glow no other colors.
They are still around, but not at Plat; when I added to my cart and placed order, they emailed that they had none, or maybe not the sizes I wanted. :dono
