I went Saturday and could see ice/snow on the high mtns around the lake . Windy and cold . But not going now . I figure lake frozen as water temps were 36 to 34 degrees . Tonight the low temp forecast around zero. It was cold enough Saturday . Still culled out a good limit . Wind chill was rough . Had to go to 1/4 oz jig because of the wind .

Not me!:cheers2
I'll pass also. -1 deg here right now with a -17 wind chill.
We have fished quite a lot this winter - not now - usually when it is south of 40 deg we sit it out.
I really like to crappie fish, but I gotta draw the line. Might go shoot a hog tho ...

I did get out my 12’ crappie jig pole yesterday.......to knock the snow off my directv receiver. Worked great! Thought I got a thump, but the line got around a bolt head or something......almost jerked, though! ;)
With the lakes froze, I couldn't go. I don't mind the cold as long as the wind is not howling. I'll be headed to Darbonne Thursday morning when I get off work.
