I'm gonna have to go with bobby garland I havnt bought any in years but that type of shad style bait catches everything
Do u have a favorite?
If it had to be a bait on the market I would choose the Bob Hinkle Tube

or the Bobby Garland baby shad below.

Other than that I prefer to make my own perch imitators

Yeah I agree a Shad stinger type bait for sure
tube bait
I use to do all my crappie fishing with tube baits but those stinger tail baits sure seem to be popular.
I don’t really have one. I haven’t poured plastics in 1.5 years now and have actually ventured outside of just using my own plastics. Love the bonehead 2” brush glider. Also love the Bobby garland slab slay’r 2”. Never been much of a stinger guy. If I could only have one style of plastic to use it would be 2.5” carrot I use to make. Hands down that style has netted me the most crappie and caught them every water I used it in. Might have to get that mold again and pour me some. Maybe a smaller version too. Just hate Do-it’s molds due to pour ventilation.
BG baby shad & your new ribbed stingers in 2", they work awesome. Red and chartruse for me.
I use my tied jigs about 90% of the time but when I do use plastics I like Keitech's or a black/chartreuse glow tube. I like stingers too. If I could find a black/chartreuse glow stinger I would use that quite a bit. Going to look on your site and see what you have and hope you have some stingers with a glow tail.
Stinger.
If could only be one bait it would be a 2.25 Yum Beavertail. I simply love this bait.
I’d have to go with a 2” curly tail grub, just about every company makes their version of it. Tons of colors on the market and pretty easy to find just about everywhere. To top it all off it’s extremely versatile, swim it, jig it, slow roll it, beetle spin it, etc.
I do like stinger tail Shad baits though. I use/make a ton of them. Trees and brush tend to steal them. Lol
There are too many designs to think of that I consider any one best to fish - especially soft plastic. Course the first lure I would cast starting out would be a straight thin-tail grub rigged on a light jig.:

It would be this one ....Holds Slab Sauce really good ....The Scent Ring Pointer Shad ........... click here Scent Ring Pointer Shad
I just put a very tiny bit of miniature sponge on the back of the hook shank before the bend of the hook and put my Slab Sauce on the sponge. Absorbs it well and it works for me.Quote:
