Bobby Garland Colors

Planning a few trips to Lake Talquin in March and April. I am planning on purchasing some Bobby Garland baits because most of mine are Southern pro curly tail. I probably have 60 different color combinations of them. I am looking for some good colors in the Bobby Garland. I know that I will not be purchasing ever color combinations that is suggested but I am looking at getting the top 10 or 12. So just because your choice has already been suggested please suggest it again. Thanks for all suggestions.

Monkey Milk, Cajun Cricket, Outlaw Special would be my picks. These work on my waters.

Monkey milk,chartreuse,blue thunder,blue back shad and pearl are some of my favorites.

Monkey Milk, Live Minnow, Blue Ice and Pink Phantom is what I have the best luck on.

Stick with souther pro and use the stinger shad! Or buy from someone that pours on here you will get more bang for your buck and have just as good success. I have plenty Bobby Garlands but when you have to change to a new bait after 2-3 fish because the bait tares so easily you will go through them fast. But if you choose Garlands Monkey milk,blue ice , pink phantom,lemon boy, glacier,liquorish chartreuse, outlaw, etc I have prolly 15 colors but use only 4-5 colors 95% of the time .:twocents

It all depends on the water color.

Patriot , on a pink head .

White pearl, white pearl and white pearl.

Colors more important to fishermen than fish . I use Southern Pro purple/chartruse Umbrella tubes over 95 % of the time .:fish

I was wondering the same thing. I want to thank everyone for the response to my question about the colors most used and to Gratefan for sending me the add from Bass Pro. I will be near there tomorrow so I will be purchasing about ten bags of Bobby Garland baits, also a bag of the Southern pro umbrella tube purple/chartreuse. THANKS again for your input it has been interesting reading all the comments.

Just noticed no one from Florida responded you don’t have to worry about me trying to limit out each day. I just enjoy the catching. Maybe a one day limit over a three day trip. Slab I will be putting “SLAB SAUCE “ to test also.

Damion Kidd I’m glad you asked. I am going to get the swimmer and the baby shad especially since they are on sale.

I find the BGBS swims just fine. They do tear up, Southern Pro is my favorite. Super Glue them on and usually they last till I hang up and break off.

Eclipse - Threadfin - Blue Ice - Lights Out - Bone Chartreuse - Monkey Milk - Bluegrass

Blue ice is all you need. But I must admit I've never tried Monkey Milk

Up here in the Nort country Vegas day in and day out with our slightly stained water.

The difference between BG Baby Shad and others is the triangle body shape on a 1/32 ounce jig if you get them hooked just right they will do a slow roll back and forth on the fall. It is a killer up here when hooked right.

Down here in Texas, i had to quit using any of the Bobby Garland baits. When i would let one down on the school i saw on live scope one would grab it.Then as i was reeling it up the rest of the school would follow it up and start to jump in the boat trying to get it out of his mouth.:yikes
