One of our members sent me a couple of jigs to examine his way of tying a weed guard. One of the jigs was made from a material I had never seen before so I asked him what it was and turns out it's "Congo Hair." I ordered some and tied up some Sauger jigs with it. It's easy to work with and I think it looks good. Any of you guys ever use it? If so post up some crappie jigs you've tied with it. I'm interested in seeing them. Thanks.

Congo Hair...A very high quality synthetic hair that sheds water and holds its shape. A nice sheen and a great color range to match your baitfish patterns and works great for parachute posts and underwings on dry flies. 10" length (20" overall) Nice full packs at a fraction of the cost of similar materials.
I didn't read the description but had already noticed it holds its shape underwater. It doesn't flatten out like hair or marabou. You can trim it to whatever shape you want and it stays that way. And it's cheap.
