Today marks the end of half-@$$ed year. Well, it didn't start so great either! Got to the lake and launched with no issues. We get to where I wanted to start rigging. Deploy the Ulterra and it struggled to get vertical. Got it to deploy and the blade wasn't turning. Stow it and find ice around the housing and prop. I get the ice off, go to deploy it and it stops at a 17° angle from the water. Instead of going vertical, it keeps feeding out. Bwahaha
Found the emergency stow procedure and got it back on the boat. Now what? No dipping rods and no trolling motor. I know we'll motor up to this point and dead drift to where the wind blows! All in all, not a bad day all considering. I'm positive it would hand been two limits today. Attachment 391909Attachment 391910Attachment 391911Attachment 391912Attachment 391913
