SeaRay's passing
To friends of Ray Steele (aka SeaRay), it ia with heavy heart that I report that my father lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Thanksgiving Day. He spoke fondly of this social platform and of the members.

I always enjoyed his posts.
If I remember right, they fished for Oscars some, on an annual trip.

I considered Ray a friend. We shared my boat together once and we talked and laughed at the socials we held. He will certainly be missed. Continued prayers for the family.

I too enjoyed reading his posts. Rest in peace my c.c brother. Prayers sent for the family.

Sorry for your loss, Praying for family and friends. I will dedicate my next cast in honor of SeaRay, others may choose to do the same for this faithful C.C. fisherman.

Although I never met Ray I considered him a friend and deemed it an honor to pray for him and share his story with our church. The world lost a good man. Prayers for your family and his friends.

Mr. Ray was a true southern gentleman and a dear friend. We first made our acquaintances here on CDC. That evolved into a couple of fishing trips together and several golf outings. He will be sorely missed. May the family find peace knowing Ray touched so many. Prayers for a healing heart in this time of great sadness.

I'm shocked by this sad, sad news. I thought about him while fishing Lake Murray last week. I met Mr. Ray here on CDC and had the pleasure to meet him a couple times in person. He was an outstanding guy and touched the lives of many!! He will be missed by all. I will be praying for peace for the family. I know he's in heaven reeling them in!
