Btw the current MN state-record crappie is one that’ll likely never (ever!!) be broken…. A 5-lber (21″) caught from the Vermillion River back in 1940.

seen a lady with a fish over 4 a few years ago that she caught on a zebco set up .
it was supposed to be a state record , but it eventually turned out to be a hybrid when the state tried to certify it .
OMG, that's a great fish.
Congrats to Stacy! That is a monster - and thru the ice no less!

What a whopper congratulations on a fine catch young lady.
Yeah ... that would be Penny Hopper's 4lb 14oz Crappie caught here in KY (21.5" Length - 18" Girth) ... but it was originally thought to be a World Record Black Crappie, until it was found to be a hybrid & downgraded to just a state record (Ky does not distinguish between Crappie species).
