I got diagnosed with the Rona last Thursday so I'm in time out from the world. I can't sleep late, even while sick, so since I couldn't go to church yesterday I decided to be at the lake when the sun started cracking yesterday and fish a little and be home for Internet church....
When I got there, I didn't feel worth a flip and TVA had decided to flush the toilet again and pull the bottom out of the already low lake. I guess in anticipation of the rain.... The lake was about 8" lower than it was only a few days before.
Me and Fur lite found plenty of em, but didn't get a bite. Not a tink, not a line bounce, not a thump. My line never moved, except the one time I hit a piece of pine straw and the once when I set my hook on an oak leaf that was cruising the shallows... The fish don't like an abrupt water drop IMO. Also the water is so clear you can see structure 5-6 feet deep, 30-40 feet away while sitting down. Poor fish are gonna be sunburned.
Maybe next time.
