I would post more often, but I am just making lures for myself and a few friends now. Seems like the Crappies like the SOS (Same Old Stuff) that I have been making. Nothing new except adding Mylar foil to my handcrafted pool noodle slip floats as an added flash attractant. I found some at a flea market that is silver flash foil on one side and black flash foil on the other. It is tough and durable Bob. It reflects light extremely well and acts as a beacon to attract the fish with the alternating reflection and refraction of light rays. The angle of incident will equal the angle of reflection with the two differing sides of the Mylar foil. Shoot me a PM if you want some to play with. Here is a photo of my experiment and the Mylar foil. Notice the fish that was attracted to the flash from the foil. Six inches below the foil will be the lure for them to eat.

This is the SOS (Same Old Stuff) I was referring to. A 1.5" minnow and some slab sauce will seal the deal.

A lot of the members are in hunting mode,, so it isn't surprising that posts are down, all over the site. It will get better eventually.
I need to pour some crappie baits for the spring, but I have been pouring a lot of 2.75" and 3.3" swim baits for walleye/sauger fishing currently. Also, the wife is getting me side tracked from bait making with the holidays coming up.
We got some new molds in the other day Here is one of them that were calling the spike wanted to know if anyone of you guys have tried this one out or if you have the mold little over 3 inches long This is a Jacob’s mold I modified the mold so I could use a duel injector on it.

Pretty cool blue ones Bob! I bet that has good action in the water.
Thank you Dave they are post to be blue and monkey milk which the blue kind of got over in the monkey milk yes they do have a good action in the water the good thing about these little guys is that you can cut them down to make them any size that you would like.
Many have moved on to the Facebook Crappie Groups. We have been swamped at G-Daddy Baits since the Crappie Expo in Branson. My son finished 6th out of 112 teams using G-Daddy Baits. He owns River Bottom Boys Guide Service LLC out of Van Alstyne TX. I was sponsoring on crappie.com for several years. I stopped after detailed studies on where sales were coming from we completed. As a result I moved on to Facebook. Business jumped as a result. I have discovered that there is a foreign company that is blantly copying other manufacturers propriitory bait molds. One of their latest victims is Beaver Bottom Baits. No ethics at all. My guess is they are getting their hands on a bait style from the USA then 3D printing it doing measurements and cutting molds calling them "Custom". I call it custom copying or plagiarism . So the next time you have a mold made I would suggest having a unique identifying symbol cut to show on top or bottom of the baits to make it more difficult to copy. Oh, God healed me from Stage 4 Non Small Cell Lung Cancer using a protocol found in Home | Get Busy Living. I have been All Clear 17 months in 2 days. Prayers answered! Merry Christmas!
Communist fakebook sucks. They are all fake; take, take, take, and give nothing back to the community. I sure hope you're not here just to sell baits cause that's not what we're about. Sorry to hear that you have moved on.
Sorry for your cancer Frank300, praying you successfully beat it. :santa and much success in your business even though you've moved on.

Yea their good molds been using some 242 plastic lately thinks thats my go to now
It has less its not completly smokeless and the plastic is just a tad harder it seems like without affecting the action I prefer it to 212 just cause 212 is a little soft and it's really smokey but that being said I still got 3 gallons of it that's has to be used lol
I am sitting here looking at my last order from you, Maybe soon I can/will try them out. I don't fish under 40degrees.
Here is another little stinger should be good for ice fishing this mold is from fat guys fishing .875'' LITTLE BEN.

That's a cool mold Bob just received my stingers from them they make some of the best molds especially like how the sprues are smallest u can make themAttachment 390916
I have two of their 2 inch stingers that mold is awesome Have you seen my post on doing a Core shot with that mold.
Attachment 390932
No I havnt where is it located
on https://www.crappie.com/crappie/diy-...342-core-shot/
The pin size on the stinger will be different I believe I used a finishing nail I will try to post a picture here later on that stinger.
Here is a picture with the stingers you'll see the finishing nails across the cavities put your mold back together and shoot it pull it apart take the pain out of the bodies cut the tail portion off and put the bodies back into the mold and shoot your core shot. Depending on the different molds they are the nail size might be different of course you cannot do this with all molds but there are quite a few of them that you can do this with just a lot of trial and error and of course this is very time consuming.

Have used something similar with a little bigger jigs before. Just because you buy plastics, and a certain sized jig comes with them, doesn't mean you can't use another size. The ones I have came with like a #12 bare hook, but used them on a 1/48th jig.
Yes I have done that in the past one of my customers up in Oklahoma uses a quarter ounce On a very small bait.
The problem I have is I cannot find large size hooks in a Jig Like a one 0 Long shank on a 1/32oz.
I see appreciate the pictures
That color green/ pearl tail combo is great! I have the mold though with less cavities and may give it a try.
