From the water, so I had to change that. Been in mind since the Slabfest but I was kinda indisposed for a while. The weather looked good with low winds so this morning we got it done. Met about 7:30 and we were fishing in no time. As usual, started slow with one here, one there but they got wound up about 8:30. Some good fish, some throwback shorts and the occasional LDR. Drinking coffee and talking back and forth, I think we both really enjoyed the morning just easing around and dealing with what the day brought. Even the tangles and gar and a few stripers couldn’t squash the good times. Chuck is a real easy guy to be around, and he’s done some stuff along the way too. Both of us groaned now and then when we had to move fast, not something either of us do well anymore. Some of the fish were just plain nice with several over 13” and both of us lost better than that. Mine took the coveted roadrunner With him and his just showed us how big his mouth could be and said goodbye. Both were pushin 2lbs. I so enjoy the time I get to spend with the other members. We’ve all walked different paths and I always learn something along the way. Long about noon the fishing slowed and I had stuff to do, and Chuck had a bunch of fish to clean and a freezer to make look just a little better. We put it on the trailer and spoke with a gent we had launched with in the morning that only had a few, so we threw 4 of our catch into his fish box to make his dinner a little better. Chuck wound up with 20 for the knife so he’ll have a couple of good dinners. I really enjoyed the day and getting to know you better, but we didn’t get a hat picture this time. I leave you hoping that you get out and enjoy a day as we have, ours couldn’t have been much better. When you get out, look around and see if I’m there, it would be good to see you. Til then, please protect and take care of yourselves, you’re hard to replace.........Skeet
