Solarez has a small kit that would be good for experimenting. I have thought about this as well.

Thanks. That looks like a good way to start. Any ideas/advice on a useable, but inexpensive IV light?
I was looking at the solarez light but I think you can find others on amazon.
I've done some research but I'm not sure how strong the light has to be, and there is a wide range of prices. I need to check to see if it is the same time of light used to "charge" glow in the dark lures. If it has a dual purpose it is easier to justify paying a bit more, eh?
I sent a message to Northland Tackle to see if their glo-buster light could be used to charge lures and cure resin. I'll post their reply.
North land says light should cure resin, but have no specs on wattage, lumens, etc. I can use the light to charge lures for ice fishing so will give it a try and report back what I find out.
I have both of these and don’t like them. Out of the two the Bone Dry (one on the left) is better as it’s not tacky to the touch unlike the other. The bone dry chips off easily. I have a UV flashlight (gotten off ebay) I used that seems like it would blind you. I found it best to just hang jigs out in the sun.

The lights f rom my experience is the cheaper light just take a lot longer to cure the glue and some glue will not cure without one of the very bright and more cost lights. Now keep this in mind, if you have a good sun shining day just start the cure with the lights and finish with the sun.

I use UV glue that came from Walmart. The set came with a battery powered UV LED.
I up grated to a AC powered 12 volt Power pack.
I Use a 12 volt UV LED I purchased from LighthouseLED.com.
I believe they have an verity of LED voltages to work from, all you need is a AC/DC power pack of the correct voltage.
The LED comes with six inch polarized leads/program resistor is built in.
I bought glue and light at Hobby Lobby. It was on a half price sale. It's big bottle of glue. Don't forget to put the top back on it. Don't ask me how I know. LOL The light I got isn't great, it is powered by a USB cable, but it works okay. I just have to have my laptop handy to plug it in. So I watch Richard Gene the fishing machine and tie jigs. This light cures this glue in 2 seconds or so. I've never timed it, but it's almost instant.
Archery guys like myself use an accelerator spray to set glue up fAst if that’s what your looking for...makes it super hard too...I. Believe it’s called steel force and accellerator fletching Steel Force Glue Accelerator - Walmart.com - Walmart.com
Thanks. I haven't heard of that being used for UV resin. I'm familiar with it for archery though.
I don't think the accelerator would work on uv resin. I did order some Loon thin resin to start with, and the Northland light. If it works, I want to try the colored resin and use it for hot spots on flies and lures. Thanks for all the input fellows.
Mainly any kind of superglue....or fletching glues
The best I used was Clear Cure, but that guy had another business with the government that took his time so he quit making he UV Glue. Now as I understand it the maybe some thing Solarez would be one of the best to try. Lots of options. I would have to ask them if any of their line cure tacky and are any not tacky after cured.
I do see a need for both thick and thin, but each person need to decide what they want.

This is what I ended up with and it works fine:
Amazon.com
That does look doable. Thanks.
Received the Northland Glo Buster light and the Loon thin UV Resin. Worked great! The thin is not runny, and a brush and two applicator tubes are included. The light hardened the resin quickly. I did not notice any odor or tackiness. :ThumbsUp:ThumbsUp
